The topic for Illustration Friday this week was Backwards. This lil' cowpoke is showing amazing skill, ridin' hell bent for the horizon, backwards! Giddy up! As always I hope you will visit my website to view more examples of my work at www.ryanloghry.com, and please visit my retail store at www.ookybizniz.com, thank you for visiting.

This little cowbow looks like he's about to be thrown off! And he DOES look like he's having a good time of it.

This is great Ryan!
Love the horse! Also I really like how the horse's tail and the cowboy's leg are quite similar and form a very interesting negative space. :o)

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you liked this illustration. Thank you for commenting on my blog.

Christine: our cowboy is a professional, please do not try this at home.

Candace: How often do you get to say adorable and horseface in the same sentence? 8 )

Alicia: I have to admit I'm not always concerned with negative space, but you got me on this one. I did purposefully make the legs shape and the tail shape similar to create interesting negative space. Good eye.

ValGalArt: A lot of the characters in my drawings have their tongues sticking out. I don't know why.

Cobol: Thanks, you folks should go check out Cobols blog, he has some awesome drawings posted there.
