Here is my monkey. Click on the image to see him walk.
I think I'll draw a jungle scene for the background. What do you think?
** UPDATE ** Jungle background added. I noticed the motion is a little jumpy until it gets all the frames loaded, so please be patient. I think it's because of the increased information in each frame. And, now I'm thinking it really should be in color, I mean, it just makes sense. So, if I get some time this weekend...

That's so cool Ryan!! Love the little animations you post.
Thanks Alicia! I love to animate.
Yes, a jungle scene!
Nice job Ryan. : )
he is TOOOOO cute! love his round shape...how his tail ties it all in. :)) to answer your question about nightime ref/moonlight books, ryan - i haven't found anything that helps me understand and see it, in a book. BUTTT, the best piece of advice i've received on the subject is GO SHOOT IT. meaning, on a very clear and moonlit night, go set your scene...shoot how the moonlight hits objects. see where the shadows fall, the highlights hit. moonlight kind of "spills" all over things...not nearly as direct as sun/artifical light. you could have action figures "posed and ready to play the part" of your subjects. then take a pix, and see what the light looks like. hope that helps! :)
Fantastic - I love it!
ry - this is great with the jungle background! color would really make it pop - but either way I really like the energy. good stuff.
