The Illustration Friday theme for this week is "Baby":

"All Roger knew, was that his little brother was going to get it, when they got home. The big baby."

your picture illustrates everyday of my life!!! I have two boys two years apart. They love eachother but love to fight with eachother too and the little one is usually the instigator.

Looks oddly familiar ...

Carli -- hey no fair taking sides! Younger siblings take a beating when moms and dads aren't looking. Trust me, I know. My arms and legs were covered with bruises from my big sister's pattented ViseLock Pinch move. On the plus side, I could probably take a bullet there without feeling it as I'm sure I have permanent nerve damage. 8 )

brilliant interpretation, and a very expressive drawing... I really struggled with the word this week and ended up with a very literal image, congratulations for finding an amusing and different angle.. :)

I have just shot salad out my nose. Thanks for the laugh. Reminds me of my childhood.

Nina - Thanks, I got the expression for the outraged youngster right out of the gate, the angry look took a couple of tries. A friend at work said the older brother looked like an angry Linus, from the Peanuts.

Candace - Holy cow, seven kids? And I thought it was rough having one sister!

Alicia - I would never call you a liar, but maybe we should ask your sister? Is she still visiting? We're waiting... 8 )

Thanks Paolo!

Thanks Kathy. You guys should check out Kathy's work, she does BEAUTIFUL colored pencil work. Many times I think I'm the only one to think of a concept, then after I post and go look at everyone else's I find everyone else did the same thing. That's just the way it goes.

Everyone join me in a * golf-clap * for Kate's comment. Well played Ms. Rietz. Well played.

Oh, gosh, that is so funny, Ryan! I was the younger sibling, so I can relate. But in all honesty, I think sometimes I took advantage of my "baby" status to get away with murder. I guess it's not easy being the older one either! :-)

Ha! Just like a little brother. Thankfully my kids don't make up stuff to get each other in trouble... yet!

Hee heee! Who among us can't relate to this scene, which ever side you were on? I was the oldest, and I, like Alicia was always nice, hee heee! No, really.

I just love your drawings. There is so much feeling, gesture and expression in this one in particular.
