This week's topic is Pet Peeve.
It was bad enough that Cindy had been captured and enslaved as the monster's pet. The final indignation was that she'd been renamed Peeves. Monster thought it a hilarious play on words.
This is from a children's book concept I'm working on. Eventually I'm going to get published, and I have enough concepts in the works to keep me busy for years. Someday...
As always I hope you will visit my website to view more examples of my work at www.ryanloghry.com, and please visit my retail store at www.ookybizniz.com, thank you for visiting.

Poor Cindy, she really looks depressed.
your monster looks so thoughtful, i'm sure he's just kidding! so cute ryan!
a : )
Great approach to this weeks topic and a fantastic illustration. Their expressions are great, very humourous with the monster looking rather sweet and the girl unamused! (I can imagine her not putting up with that situation for long...)
Your works are ingenious. What a great play on words! I'm sure you do have lots of concepts just waiting for a book...
Hi Ryan, thanks for your comments on my other pieces. I redrew and painted the washing line sketch in watercolour, adding the child for interest (I'm a digital dud I am afraid...must find out how to work in that media.) Kind comments on the lighting for my Easter Bunny, I tend to pay too little attention to this though, another thing to work on!! Good luck with your illustration ideas, they are really good and well conceived :)
Bee-- working digitally is just like having another set of brushes, or a very versatile pen. It's extremely helpful, but it's no substitute for the drawing and painting skills we are all striving to attain.
I picked up my first version of Adobe Photoshop at a second hand store, although I suppose ebay would be a better choice these days.
For those of you who haven't already been, I suggest checking out Bee's blog. She has a pleasing style. I think my favorite is the one she did for Illustration Friday's Garden theme.
Hee hee, this is really cute. You are going to get published. This is a great idea and your style is fantastic!
Ha, great beguining of a story! And I love the pencil work on the monster, really cute. I hope you´ll reach to see your work published!
Greetings
Very clever! I think the concept will make a great story.
I love the monster...he seems to know just how to taunt his "pet."
